Writing the Now, with Meghan Nesmith

We are living through an extraordinary time, one of collective uncertainty and urgency. As writers, much of our work is done in reflection: How did that feel? What did I learn? How has my past informed my present? But sometimes, we are called upon to tell a story as it is happening. Through examples and exercises, we’ll learn how to write from a place of ongoingness, and how to uncover your unique perspective on a shared experience. Participants will leave with a journalistic and/or personal essay pitch related to current events.

Sat, March 6, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. EST ($75)
