Pitch Doula, with Meghan Nesmith

Struggling to find a home for your story? If you’ve got a pitch that has been rejected by editors – or worse, ignored altogether – bring it to this half-day workshop. We’ll go over the seven most common pitching mistakes and figure out why your pitch is falling flat. We’ll workshop your pitches together to determine what’s working (and what’s not), and look at ways to hone your ideas and your voice. We’ll brainstorm where to pitch and learn how to target your story to a particular publication or editor. You’ll leave with a polished pitch, a clear plan of action, and tips that will make your future pitches pitch-perfect. Ideal for nonfiction writers at all levels.  Online.

Saturday, February 3rd, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 a.m. ($75)
